BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION <br />NO. 2025---- <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE AND COUNTY PARTICIPATION IN <br />THEW ASHINGTON STATE ALLOCATION AGREEMENT OF FUNDS PAID BY THE <br />PURDUE BANKRUPTCY AND CERTAIN OPIOID MANUFACTURERS AND <br />AUTHORIZING COMMISSIONER SIGNATURE ON ALL REQUIRED <br />PARTICIPATION FORMS <br />WHEREAS, Kittitas County has been an opioid litigant since 2018; and <br />WHEREAS, the most recent allocation agreement, Allocation Agreement IV, details the <br />settlement agreements reached with: (1) the Purdue Bankruptcy and Sackler <br />Direct Claims Settlement, (2) the Alvogen Settlement, (3) the Amneal Settlement, <br />(4) the Apotex Settlement, (5) the Hikma Settlement, (6) the Indivior Settlement, <br />(7) the Mylan Settlement, (8) the Sun Settlement, and (9) the Zydus Settlement, <br />which is attached hereto and is hereby incorporated by the reference; and <br />WHEREAS, legal recommends acceptance and participation in the Allocation Agreement; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners finds it in the best interest of the citizens of <br />Kittitas County to accept and participate in the _Allocation Agreement; and <br />WHEREAS, Commissioner Wachsmith has previously been granted signatory authority on <br />opioid related agreements and that authority should be extended to this latest <br />Allocation Agreement. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of Kittitas <br />County, Washington, hereby authorizes County participation in the Allocation <br />Agreement IV settlements and further authorizes Commissioner Wachsmith to <br />affix his signature to all required settlement documents. <br />DATED this day of , 2025, at Ellensburg, Washington. ------------- <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />Laura Osiadacz, Chair <br />Cory Wright, Vice-Chair
