KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA DATE <br />ACTION REQUESTED <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />August 5, 2025 <br />Request to Approve a Request for Qualifications for <br />Regional Advocacy and Federal Funding Strategy Services <br />BACKGROUND: The Kittitas County Conference of Governments (COG) <br />has been working towards a solution to assist municipalities <br />and Central Washington University to provide support and <br />expertise in navigating federal programs, securing <br />competitive funding, and gain assistance in advocating for <br />regional priorities at the federal level. <br />At the July 16, 2025, regularly scheduled COG meeting, <br />members approved a Request for Qualifications to be <br />advertised to solicit for Regional Advocacy and Federal <br />Funding Strategy Services. This request will be reviewed <br />and scored by a Sub -Committee compromised of the Public <br />Works Director and three (3) members of COG. Final <br />selection will be discussed by COG members and brought <br />forward for Board consideration. <br />Submittals are due by 1:00 pm local time on August 29, <br />2025, to the Public Works Office. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works; Kittitas County Conference of Governments <br />RECOMMENDATION: Authorize the issuance of the Request for Qualifications as <br />requested by Public Works. <br />HANDLING: Return one original to Public Works. <br />ATTACHMENTS: Notice of Request for Qualifications; Request for <br />Qualifications <br />LEAD STAFF: Josh Fredrickson, Director <br />
