KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA ITEM STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: July 15, 2025 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Set a Public Hearing on August 5, 2025, at 2:00 pm local <br />time to consider Equipment surplus to Kittitas County's needs and <br />authorize disposal of same in accordance with RCW 36.34.080. <br />BACKGROUND: The following equipment is surplus to the county's needs: <br />EQ# 353 1988 Caterpillar 950B Wheel Loader <br />VIN# 22ZO3041 <br />The Department of Public Works requests that a Public Hearing be <br />held August 5, 2025, at 2:00 pm local time to declare the above - <br />listed equipment surplus to the county's needs and authorize disposal <br />of same. The Department of Public Works plans to surplus the <br />equipment in accordance with RCW 36.34.080. <br />Equipment replacement was covered by Public Works funds in 2025. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Set a Public Hearing for August 5, 2025, at 2:00 pm local time to <br />consider equipment surplus to the county's needs and authorize <br />disposal of same. <br />HANDLING: Department of Public Works. <br />ATTACHMENTS: Notice of Public Hearing. <br />LEAD STAFF: Cameron Curtis, County Engineer <br />
