Kittitas County <br />Public Health Department <br /> <br />Agenda Staff Report <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: <br />July 15, 2025 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />The Board of County Commissioners approves the signature of the Public Health Director on the <br />Agreement between Department of Ecology and Kittitas County Public Health Department. <br />Amendment 1. (Effective: 06.30.25-06.30.27) <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The agreement between the WA State Dept of Ecology and KCPHD allows the county to engage <br />Ellensburg residents in designing community driven strategies to reduce air pollutants, <br />improving air quality and health outcomes. Through outreach, data collection, and collaboration, <br />the project will prioritize environmental justice and create sustainable emission reduction plans. <br />The amendment extends the end date of the agreement to allow more time to complete <br />deliverables. This is a no cost amendment. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: <br />Kittitas County Prosecutors: Reviewed and approved June 27, 2025. <br />Kittitas County Auditors: Reviewed and approved June 30, 2025. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />The Board of County Commissioners approves the signature of the Public Health Director on the <br />Agreement between Department of Ecology and Kittitas County Public Health Department <br />Amendment 1.
