BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2025 ----- <br />REOLUTION TO PURCHASE A 2024 CATERPILLAR 930 LOADER <br /> <br />WHEREAS: Kittitas County Solid Waste operates a compost facility at Ellensburg <br />Transfer Station. The facility currently operates with a 2014 Caterpillar <br />930K Loader; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: The Solid Waste Department has worked with Sourcewell contracted company <br />NC Machinery to locate a 2024 Caterpillar 930; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: The cost of the new Loader will be $183,181.05 after the trade in of the existing <br />2014 loader; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: The Solid Waste Department has inspected the machine and tested the machine at the <br />compost facility and has found that it is the right machine to perform the needed <br />activities; and <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners finds it in <br />the best interest of the County to purchase a 2024 Caterpillar 930 Loader from NC <br />Machinery off the S ourcewell contract; and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Facilities and Waste Operations Director is <br />authorized to sign contract documents for said purchase. <br /> <br />DATED on this 18th day of March 2025, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br /> <br />BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Laura Osiadacz, Chairman <br />Attest: <br />Clerk of the Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />Cory Wright, Vice-Chairman <br /> <br />Deputy Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br />Brett Wachsmith, Commissioner
