KITTITAS COUNTY <br /> <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />March 18, 2025 <br /> <br />Request to Approve a Resolution to Award the Contract for the <br />Jail Renovation Task 1 Jail TI Project and Authorize the Chair <br />to execute the documents. <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />INTERACTION: <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br /> <br /> <br />HANDLING: <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />LEAD STAFF: <br />On January 21, 2025, the BOCC approved a Notice of Call for <br />Sealed Bids for the Jail Renovation Task 1 Jail TI Project. <br />Sealed bids were opened publicly on February 27, 2025, at <br />Kittitas County Board of County Commissioners Conference <br />room. There were two (2) sealed bids received. The lowest <br />responsive bid is from Belsaas and Smith Construction Inc. in <br />the amount of $1,859,000, with an Alternate Bid for $598,000. <br /> <br />Kittitas County Maintenance has this project in its 2025 budget. <br /> <br /> <br /> Prosecutor, Knit Architectural and Solid Waste/Maintenance <br /> <br />Approve the Resolution to Award the Contract for the Jail <br />Renovation Task 1 Jail TI Project and Authorize the Chair to <br />sign contract documents. <br /> <br />Return one (1) copy of the resolution. <br />Resolution with Bid Tab. <br />Patti Stacey <br />Facilities and Waste <br />Operations Director
