KITTITAS COUNTY <br />Board of County Commissioners <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: February 4, 2025 <br /> <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Hold a Public Hearing to review final project performance on the Food Bank and Food Pantry Expansion with Friends in Service to Humanity (FISH) CDBG 21-62210-030 <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: On February 15, 2022, the Board of County Commissioners signed Resolution 2022-045 authorizing an interlocal agreement with the WA Sate Department of Commerce for grant funding for the Food Bank and Food Pantry Expansion with FISH. <br /> <br /> On April 19, 2022, the Board of County Commissioners signed the subrecipient agreement with FISH for this project. <br /> <br /> Additional resolutions 2024-026 updated the subrecipient agreement with FISH and 2024-027 updated the amended Commerce contract 21-62210-030 to add terms and conditions. <br /> <br /> The WA State Department of Commerce requires a closeout public hearing on project performance and whereas this project is near completion, this Public Hearing is required. <br /> <br /> On January 21, 2025, the Board of County Commissioners approved the Public Hearing to be held on February 4, 2025 <br /> <br /> <br />INTERACTION: The Washington State Department of Commerce project manager for this project has reviewed the Public Hearing language and advises it meets the Commerce notice requirements. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Hold a Public Hearing to review final project performance on the Food Bank and Food Pantry Expansion with Friend in Service to Humanity (FISH) CDBG 21-62210-030 <br /> <br />HANDLING: Please send Public Hearing minutes to Dora Van Epps who will send to WA State Dept of Commerce <br /> <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: None <br /> <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Bryan Elliott, Kittitas County Auditor <br />Dora Van Epps, Accountant III, Auditor’s Office <br /> <br />
