KITTITAS COUNTY <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT SERVICES <br />AGENDA ITEM STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: December 3, 2024 <br />TOPIC: Conduct a Public Hearing on December 3, 2024, at 2:00 pm <br />local time to consider amending Kittitas County Code <br />2.04.010 to allow Kittitas Community Development <br />Services Department to hold its Study Session <br />independently from Kittitas County Department of Public <br />Works on the established date and times codified in the <br />code. <br />BACKGROUND: The Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) notices <br />meeting times with department directors in Kittitas County <br />Code 2.04.010. The BOCC adjusted the <br />Kittitas County Community Development Services <br />Department (CDS) Study Session schedule <br />from one to two study sessions a month in May of 2024. <br />The BOCC, on December 3rd, 2024, discussed and directed <br />the CDS Director to prepare enabling documents to allow <br />the CDS Department to hold its Study Sessions at 2:30 pm <br />and from Kittitas County Department of Public Works. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Conduct a Public Hearing on December 3, 2024, at 2:00 pm <br />local time to consider amending Kittitas County Code <br />2.04.010 to allow Kittitas Community Development <br />Services Department to hold its Study Session <br />independently from Kittitas County Department of Public <br />Works on the established date and times codified in the <br />code. <br />HANDLING: Return one original to Community Development Services <br />ATTACHMENTS: Ordinance; Kittitas County Code 2.04.010 <br />LEAD STAFF: Chad Bala, Director <br />
