11/13/24 MINUTES 1 <br />COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON COMMISSIONER’S AUDITORIUM SPECIAL MEETING <br /> WEDNESDAY 8:00 A.M. NOVEMBER 13, 2024 <br />Board members present: Chairman Brett Wachsmith and Commissioner <br />Cory Wright. Excused: Vice-Chairman Osiadacz. <br /> <br />Others: Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; Todd Davis, Noxious Weed <br />Coordinator; Cody Cupp, Chelsey Loeffers, Public Health Director; <br />Angela Bugni, Paralegal; Pat Gigstead, Chief Probation Officer; <br />Elisha Harvill, Chief Administrator; Clay Myers, Sheriff; Brian <br />Carlson, Budget & Finance Director; Amy Cziske, Treasurer; Barb <br />Demory, Lower District Court Administrator; Kari Elkins, Office <br />Administrator; Bryan Elliott, Auditor; Christy Garcia, Chief <br />Administrator; Mike Hougardy, Assessor; Lara Lasarge, Upper District <br />Court Administrator; Karen Bowen, Clerk, Tasha Potter, Chief <br />Administrator; Doug Fessler, IT Director; Chad Bala, CDS Director; <br />Tip Hudson, Extension Agent; and Kylee Wuesthoff, Finance Officer. <br /> SPECIAL MEETING CSC UPDATE COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />At 8:00 a.m. Chairman Wachsmith called the meeting the meeting to <br />order with the Management Team to receive an update from the Central <br />Services Committee. <br /> <br />Brian Carlson, Budget & Finance Director, provided a quarterly <br />report, reflecting the year-to-date data through September 20, 2024. <br />He reviewed a countywide finance summary including YTD tax revenue <br />forecasts. Kylee Wuesthoff, Finance Officer, reviewed the <br />Treasurers’ investments. <br /> <br />Mr. Carlson said the Cayenta upgrade has been set up and testing and <br />training sessions are underway. The anticipated “go live” deadline <br />is in March of 2025. The committee’s Bylaws are drafted and <br />undergoing final revisions. They anticipate them being adopted by <br />the end of 2024. <br /> <br />Commissioner Wright said there were some big decisions that will <br />need to be made over the next year or two. The county is beginning <br />to experience challenges with employment and old buildings, and <br />there will be some sacrifices made by everyone at some point. He <br />hoped when the time comes everyone can come together with solutions <br />to push forward. <br /> <br />Mr. Carlson said the next quarterly update would be in <br />February/March. <br />
