KITTITAS COUNTY HEALTH NETWORK
Applicant: Kittitas County Health Network (KCHN)
Project Title: Kittitas County Youth Mentoring
Target Population: Youth and their families
Description: The primary goal of KCHN is to recreate a youth mentoring program using community
resources as the spokes to KCHN hub. In addition, the project intends to engage in training of
providers and engage in outreach to enhance awareness of the behavioral health needs of youths
and reduce the stigma of seeking help.
Strengths: KCHN has a large portfolio of health services they provide in Kittitas County and has
over 50 partners with whom they collaborate.
Advisory Board Comments: The advisory board would like to see more detail in the evaluation of
this proposal. There needs to be more detail in the evaluation of the two projects and further
clarification on how the budget aligns with the activities. The advisory board recommends a
reduction in funding.
Requested Budget: $500,000
Advisory Board Recommended Budget: $350,000
