BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2024- <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT <br />BETWEEN THE TOWN OF SOUTH CLE ELUM, WASHINGTON AND KITTITAS COUNTY, <br />WASHINGTON FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT SERVICES <br />WHEREAS, the Parties are public agencies, as defined in RCW 39.34.020, who wish to <br />enter into an Agreement pursuant to Chapter 39.34 RCW, the Washington <br />Interlocal Cooperation Act; and <br />WHEREAS, Kittitas County through the Kittitas County Sheriff's Office and The Town of <br />South Cie Elum have the power, authority, and responsibility to provide police <br />protection and law enforcement services for the citizens within their boundaries, <br />and <br />WHEREAS, The Town of South Cie Elum is located entirely within the boundaries of <br />Kittitas County, and the Kittitas County Sheriff's Office is able to provide regular <br />law enforcement services to The Town of South Cie Elum; and <br />WHEREAS, Kittitas County and The Town of South Cie Elum wish to enter into a joint <br />Agreement to efficiently provide The Town of South Cie Elum with law <br />enforcement services; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, that the Board of County <br />Commissioners of Kittitas County, Washington authorizes the execution of the Interlocal <br />Agreement between The Town of South Cie Elum and Kittitas County for law enforcement <br />services which shall be filed pursuant to RCW 39.34.040. <br />ADOPTED this day of <br />ATTEST: <br />2024. <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />Brett Wachsmith, Chairman <br />Laura Osiadacz, Vice -Chair <br />Cory Wright, Commissioner <br />APP D AS TO FORM: <br />�2'Ls <br />Douglas R. qtchell, Deputy Prosecuting Attorney <br />❑ Clerk of the Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />❑ Deputy Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br />RESOLUTION <br />
