2024-10-28 MINUTES 1 <br />COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />CONFERENCE ROOM <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br /> <br />MONDAY 3:00 P.M. OCTOBER 28, 2024 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Brett Wachsmith; Vice-Chairman Laura <br />Osiadacz and Commissioner Cory Wright. <br /> <br />Others: Shelise Smithgall, Administrative Assistant; Kristi More, <br />Managing Partner of Grants; Alexandra Yiannoutsos, Director of <br />Communications and Marketing, Chris Griffin, Senior Associate; Steve <br />DuPont, Director of Government Relations. <br /> <br /> <br />SPECIAL MEETING THE FERGUSON GROUP COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />At 3:00 p.m. Chairman Wachsmith opened a Special Meeting with the <br />Kittitas County Board of Commissioners and representatives from The <br />Ferguson Group for their annual briefing. <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENT – None. <br /> <br />Kristi More, Managing Partner of Grants, explained that the purpose <br />of this meeting was to identify priority projects needing attention <br />in Kittitas County for which there are correlating grants. She <br />explained the importance of identifying these projects considering <br />the administration changing with the soon-to-be newly elected <br />president and members of congress. She explained how different <br />regional planning agencies called Conference of Governments work in <br />different districts as examples of some of the ways Kittitas County <br />can work with the local COG to accomplish goals for the county. <br /> <br />The Board and the representatives from the Ferguson Group discussed <br />potential priority projects for Kittitas County. They also discussed <br />the process for which those projects get presented to the Ferguson <br />Group. Kristi More said that the Board has the final decision for <br />which projects are considered a priority for the county and that the <br />Board must approve anything that is presented to The Ferguson group. <br /> <br />The meeting concluded at 4:05 p.m. <br /> <br />KITTITAS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Shelise Smithgall Brett Wachsmith, Chairman <br />
