KITTITAS COUNTY <br />SHERIFF'S OFFICE <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: November 5, 2024 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution Authorizing Execution of <br />an Interlocal Agreement Between the City of Cie Elam, Washington and the County of <br />Kittitas, Washington for the Housing of Inmates. <br />BACKGROUND: This Interlocal Agreement is between the City of Cle Elum and <br />Kittitas County for the Housing of Inmates from January 1, 2025-December 31, 2027 <br />subject to earlier termination as provided in the Agreement. The daily rate proposed is <br />$110.00/day for years 2025, 2026, and 2027. The rate of compensation for any innate <br />requiring additional or specialized conditions of incarceration to the extent that they must <br />be placed alone in a single cell designed for double occupancy shall be $220.00/day in <br />2025, 2026, and 2027. <br />INTERACTION: The Kittitas County Prosecutor's Office has reviewed and approved <br />this Interlocal Agreement. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Request to Approve a Resolution Authorizing Execution of an <br />Interlocal Agreement Between the City of Cle Elam, Washington and the County of <br />Kittitas, Washington for the Housing of Inmates. <br />HANDLING: Please return one fully executed original to KCSO.
