BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOL UTION NO. 2024 - | <br />APPROVING CONTRACT SERVICES WITH JRP INTEGRATED SOLUTIONS ST]PPORTING <br />BROADBAND BEAD GRANT APPLICATION PROCESS AI\D AUTIIORTZING fiIE PTIBLIC <br />WORKS DIRECTOR TO EXECUTE TIIE SAME <br />WHEREAS: Kittitas County adopted Resolution z}z3-OTzestablishing policy standards for broadband <br />infrastructure expansion under the authority of Kittitas County; and <br />WIIERXAS: Previous grant applications have been awarded through the Public Wolks Board and the <br />Washingtin State Broadband offrce for rural broadband expansion in the County; and <br />WHEREAS: The passage of the Infrastructure Investment and.Jobs Act, Congress established the <br />Broadband, Equity, Accesso and Deployment Program @EAD); and <br />WHEREAS: Project areas within the County have been identified and set up by the State Broadband <br />office are viable for separate BEAD grant funding applications; and <br />The application process requires significant understanding ofbroadband; and <br />JRP Integrated Solutions has previously been supporting County efforts with broadband <br />grant applications, conffacts and network best practices; and <br />WHEREAS: JRP Integrated Solutions has the knowledge and background to support BEAD <br />applications. <br />NOW, TIIEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of county commissioners, in the best interest <br />of the public, does hereby authorize a standard professional services conffact with JRP <br />Integrated Solutions to support BEAD applications; and <br />NOW, BE IT FTTRTIIERRESOLVED: the Public Works Director is directed to sign said conkacts on <br />behalf of the Board of County Commissioners. <br />DATED this 1st day of Octobet 2024, at Ellensburg, Washington' <br />BOARD OF COIJNTY <br />KITTITAS <br />WHEREAS: <br />\ilIIEREAS: <br />ABSENT <br />the Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />Vice-Chairman <br />EJ Deputy Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br />Laura <br />Commissioner
