JULY 25, 2024 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Brett Wachsmith (Webex), Vice <br />Chairman Laura Osiadacz, Commissioner Cory Wright. <br /> <br />Others: Shelise Smithgall, Administrative Assistant; Amy McGuffin, <br />CEO/President - Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce; Sue Patterson, <br />Kittitas County Auditor’s office; Dora Van Epps, Kittitas County <br />Auditor’s office; Roylene Crawford, LTAC member; Jeff Ourdanik, LTAC <br />member; Jessica Karraker, LTAC member; and 2 members of the public. <br /> <br />SPECIAL MEETING LTAC PRESENTATION COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />At 3:03 p.m. Vice Chairman Laura Osiadacz opened a Special Meeting <br />with the County Lodging Tax Advisory Committee to review what it <br />does and its process for distributing funds. <br /> <br />Vice Chairman Osiadacz invited comments from the public. No public <br />comments were given. <br /> <br />Amy McGuffin, CEO/President of the Kittitas County Chamber of <br />Commerce, gave a presentation to the Board of County Commissioners <br />on tourism in Kittitas County and use of Lodging Tax funds. She <br />provided several brochures that included information about Kittitas <br />County Lodging Tax and how those funds are being used to promote <br />tourism and enhance local infrastructure, and how they could be used <br />in different ways in the future. <br /> <br />This presentation was followed by a discussion between the 3 members <br />of the LTAC that were present, the CEO/President of the Chamber of <br />Commerce, and the Board of County Commissioners regarding past, <br />present, and future use of Lodging Tax funds to promote and expand <br />tourism in Kittitas County.
