KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA DATE: <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />August 6, 2024 <br />Request to Approve a Resolution Adopting the T-Hangar <br />Lease and Wait List Policy at Bowers Field. <br />BACKGROUND: Kittitas County is the airport sponsor of Bowers Field with <br />Public Works having the responsibility to lease County <br />owned T-Hangars. Kittitas County owns T-Hangars at <br />Bowers Field to support aviation purposes and use at the <br />airport. T-Hangar space is leased to individuals, currently <br />on a month -to -month basis. Public Works receives requests <br />from individuals to lease T-Hangars and to be placed on a <br />waiting list for a T-Hangar. With the transition of the <br />Airport to a division of Public Works, the wait list is <br />unclear. To provide consistency and guidance for those <br />requesting to be on the wait list a policy regarding leasing <br />and wait list for T-Hangars has been developed. <br />The Airport Advisory Committee considered the T-Hangar <br />leasing and wait list policy at their June 12, 2024, regular <br />meeting. The AAC supported action to formalize the T- <br />Hangar leasing and wait list policy and recommended this <br />for consideration by the Board of County Commissioners. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Resolution adopting the T-hangar lease and <br />wait list policy at Bowers Field. <br />HANDLING: Return one original to Public Works <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution; Lease and Wait List Policy <br />LEAD STAFF: Joshua Fredrickson, County Engineer <br />
