BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2024- <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN INTERAGENCY AGREEMENT <br />BETWEEN WASHINGTON STATE HEALTH CARE AUTHORITY AND KITTITAS COUNTY JAIL <br />FOR REENTRY DEMONTSTRATION INITIATIVE PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, RCW 39.34, the Interlocal Cooperation Act, provides the capability for public <br />agencies to cooperate by providing services and facilities for mutual advantage; and <br />WHEREAS, The Washington State Health Care Authority wishes to designate the Kittitas <br />County Jail to furnish the necessary personnel, equipment, material and/or service(s) and <br />otherwise do all things necessary for or incidental to the performance of work set forth: and <br />WHEREAS, Kittitas County is desirous of accepting funds under the terms and conditions <br />mutually agreed upon by the parties to develop and implement a reentry demonstration <br />initiative; and <br />WHEREAS, the governing bodies of each of the parties to the Interagency Agreement <br />attached hereto have determined to enter into this Interagency Agreement for the period <br />from date fully executed until July 31, 2028 unless terminated or extended upon written <br />agreement between parties; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, that the Board of County <br />Commissioners of Kittitas County, Washington authorizes the execution of the Interagency <br />Agreement for Reentry Demonstration Initiative project Inmates that is attached hereto, <br />and incorporated herein by this reference, and which shall be forthwith filed with the <br />Kittitas County Auditor pursuant to RCW 39.34.040. <br />ADOPTED this day of 2024. <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />Brett Wachsmith, Chairman <br />Laura Osiadacz, Vice -Chair <br />Cory Wright, Commissioner <br />ATTEST: APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br />r ` <br />Douglas I� .
