KITTITAS COUNTY <br />SHERIFF'S OFFICE <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: June 18th, 2024 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to approve the Intergovernmental Agreement <br />between the KCSO and USMS <br />BACKGROUND: The Federal Government and the KCJ established this existing <br />agreement in 2013. This agreement allows the United States Marshals Service (USMS) to <br />house Federal Detainees with the Local Government at the Kittitas County Jail. This <br />agreement renewal is increasing our daily housing rate from $63/Day to $110/Day for <br />individuals, as well as increasing the number of Male (100) and Females (25) that can be <br />housed. <br />INTERACTION: The Kittitas County Prosecuting Attorney's Office has reviewed and <br />approved this amendment. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Request to approve the Intergovernmental Agreement <br />between the KCSO and USMS <br />HANDLING: Please return 1 fully executed original to KCSO. <br />LEAD STAFF: LEC Duncan <br />
