BOARD OF COT]NTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COI]NTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTIO NNo.2024- I I c <br />AUTHORTZING THE USE OF 2023 PUBLIC X'ACILITY AWARD (DISTRESSED <br />coUNTY SALES AI\D USE TAX) TO THE CITY OF CLE ELUM CONSTRUCTING <br />FIRST STREET IMPROVEMENT PHASE 3 DOWNTOWN REVITILIZATION <br />WHEREAS: The Board of County Commissioners awarded the City of Cle Elum $591,000 in <br />Fund 108 (Distressed County Sales and Use Tax) funds in 2023 for the City's <br />Phase 3C - First Street Downtown Revitalization project; and <br />WHEREAS: Surplus funds in the amount of $48,403.83 remain from the City of Cle Elum <br />Phase 3C project; and <br />WHEREAS: The City of Cle Elum also obtained grant funding for First Street Improvements <br />Phase 3 Downtown Revitalization; and <br />WHEREAS: First Street Improvements Phase 3 Downtown Revitalization is the final phase <br />and requires a local match to the grant funding received. <br />NOW' THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, after due <br />consideration and in the best interest of the public, does hereby authorize the City <br />of Cle Elum to utilize surplus funds from the Phase 3C - First Street Downtown <br />Revitalization project for the construction on First Street Improvements Phase 3 <br />Downtown Revitalization. <br />DATED on this 18th day of June 2024, at Ellensburg, Washington <br />BOARD OF COLTNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />ABSENT <br />Chairman <br />Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />n Deputy'Clerk of theBoard- Mandy Buchholz <br />Wright, Commissioner
