BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESoLUnoN No. roro--ekk <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT <br />BETWEEN KITTITAS COUNTY AND TOWN OF SOUTH CLE ELUM <br />WHEREAS, RCW 39.34, the Washington Interlocal Cooperation Act; allows governmental <br />entities to make the most efficient use of their powers by enabling them to cooperate with other <br />localities on a basis of mutual advantage; and <br />WHEREAS, the purpose of this agreement is to allow the Town of South Cle Elum <br />(Town) to make use of the existing Upper District Court facilities and personnel to operate a <br />municipal court as shown by the attached Interlocal Agreement; and <br />WHEREAS, the elected Judge of said District Court approves of entering into such <br />agreement with regard to judicial functions and resources; and <br />WHEREAS, the parties have agreed that certain resources required to make this <br />agreement functional are under the control of the Board of County Commissioners; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, that the Board of County <br />Commissioners of Kittitas County, Washington authorizes the execution of the Interlocal <br />Agreement between Kittitas County and the Town of South Cle Elum. <br />AD'PTED this lLoPt day of 2024. <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />GTON <br />Commissioner <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM <br />Douglas R.
