2024-05-01 MINUTES 1 <br />COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON CONFERENCE ROOM SPECIAL MEETING FRIDAY 1:00 P.M. MAY 1, 2024 <br />Board members present: Chairman Brett Wachsmith & Vice Chairman <br />Laura Osiadacz. Excused: Commissioner Cory Wright. <br /> <br />Others: Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; Shelise Smithgall, <br />Administrative Assistant; Amy McGuffin, Kittitas County Chamber of <br />Commerce; and Kristine Miller, Executive Director of Centerfuse. <br /> SPECIAL MEETING CHAMBER UPDATE COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />At 1:00 p.m. Chairman Wachsmith opened a Special Meeting with the <br />Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce for their quarterly update. <br /> <br />Amy McGuffin, Executive Director of the Kittitas County Chamber of <br />Commerce, provided a quarterly update to the Board of County <br />Commissioners. She provided a new brochure that included <br />information about Kittitas County at a glance; events and programs; <br />business development and workforce support; available certifications <br />and training; information about the Small Business Development <br />Center; a year in review for 2023; tourism advocacy and planning; <br />and the Kittitas Accelerator Program. She also provided information <br />on expansion versus recruitment. <br /> <br />Ms. McGuffin and Ms. Miller (Centerfuse) provided an update on how <br />they’ve been asked to begin discussions on merging.
