BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION & ORDER DIRECTING THE KITTITAS COUNTY TREASURER <br />TO TRANSFER OWNERSHIP OF TAX TITLE PARCEL #754833 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2024 -______ <br />Whereas, the Kittitas County Treasurer’s Office has found that parcel #754833, which is held <br />as Tax Title by Kittitas County, was pulled from a tax title sale in 2007 due to a <br />claim of ownership from the US Department of the Interior; and <br />Whereas, the US Bureau of Land Management has provided documents showing that parcel <br />#754833 was part of the BLM Priest River Dam Hydroelectric Project; and <br />Whereas, the Kittitas County Treasurer has expressed a desire to clear this property from <br />the County Tax Title roll; and <br />Whereas, pursuant to RCW 36.35.150(1), the county legislative authority may dispose of tax <br />foreclosed property without a call for bids if (a) the transfer is to a governmental <br />agency for public purposes, if (b) it is not practical to build because of the physical <br />characteristics of the land, or if (c) the assessed value is less than $500; and <br />Whereas, Pursuant to RCW 36.35.010 and RCW 36.34.130, the county legislative authority <br />has the power to devote tax title lands to public use under the control of other <br />governmental or quasi-governmental agencies; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED the Board of County Commissioners of Kittitas County, <br />Washington, hereby finds it is in the best interests of Kittitas County to transfer Tax Title Parcel <br />#754833 to the United States Bureau of Land Management, and that such transfer is for the <br />purpose of correcting any prior errors or omissions and acknowledging the ownership of this <br />parcel by the United States Government. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED the Board of County Commissioners of Kittitas <br />County, Washington, hereby authorizes, orders, and directs the Kittitas County Treasurer to <br />transfer Tax Title Parcel #754833 to the United States Bureau of Land Management, as allowed <br />by RCW 36.35.010, RCW 36.34.130, and RCW 36.35.150(1). The Kittitas County Treasurer is <br />authorized to take whatever actions are needed to facilitate this transfer. <br /> <br /> APPROVED, this ______ day of ______________, 2024, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br /> BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
