<br /> <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br /> <br />RESOLUTION No. 2023-_____ <br /> <br />TO AUTHORIZE THE RENAMING AND REPURPOSING OF THE COMPUTER REPLACEMENT INTERNAL <br />SERVICE FUND TO THE ENTERPRISE TECHNOLOGY FUND <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Kitas County established Fund 517 as the Computer Replacement Internal Service <br />(CRIS) Fund via Resoluon No. 2017-010 for the purpose of funding the scheduled <br />workstaon desktop, laptop, and monitor replacements, countywide, over the <br />ancipated life of the equipment; and <br />WHEREAS, The Kitas County Finance Division of the Auditor’s Office and the Informaon <br />Technology Department have collaborated in a comprehensive assessment of internal <br />technology-related procurement, budgeng, and analysis pracces; and <br />WHEREAS, The Kitas County Finance Division of the Auditor’s Office and the Informaon <br />Technology Department jointly propose renaming Fund 517 from “Computer <br />Replacement Internal Service Fund” to “Enterprise Technology Fund” and repurposing <br />it to encompass all technology-related purchases which will simplify the technology <br />procurement process and related accounng, allowing for improved reporng, <br />analysis, and forecasng; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: The Kitas County Board of County Commissioners hereby rescinds <br />Resoluon No. 2017-010 and renames Fund 517 as the “Enterprise Technology Fund” which shall be <br />stewarded by the IT Department and authorizes the Kitas County Auditor to make all necessary <br />alteraons to the County’s chart of accounts, effecve January 1, 2024. <br />NOW, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: The Kitas County Board of County Commissioners recognizes that <br />revisions to exisng technology policies and a new Enterprise Technology Fund Policy, which will provide <br />for the mechanisms used to establish the Enterprise Technology Fund’s budget as well as the procedures <br />for technology procurement, will be brought forth for approval before December 31, 2023. <br />DATED this _____ day of October, 2023, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br /> BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br /> ________________________________ <br />Aest: Cory Wright, Chairman <br />________________________________ _______________________________ <br /> Clerk of the Board – Julie Kjorsvik Bre Wachsmith, Vice-Chairman <br /> Deputy Clerk of the Board – Mandy Buchholz <br /> ________________________________ <br /> Laura Osiadacz, Commissioner
