KITTITAS COUNTY <br />CDS STUDY SESSION MINUTES <br />COMMISSIONERS' AUDITORIUM, 205 WEST 5th ROOM 109 <br />Regular Meeting <br />MONDAY 1:30 PM June 26, 2023 <br />Board members present: Chairman Cory Wright and Commissioner <br />Laura Osiadacz. <br />Others: Jamey Ayling, Jeremy Larson, Zach Torrance -Smith, and <br />Jessica Miller, Community Development Services; Mark Cook, Josh <br />Fredrickson, and Rebecca Cruse, Public Works; Neil Caulkins, <br />Deputy Prosecutor; and eight (8) members of the public. <br />At 2:16 pm Chairman Wright opened the Community Development <br />Services Study Session. <br />CITIZEN COMMENTS (1 MIN. TIME LIMIT) <br />There were no public comments. <br />PLANS EXAMINER POSITION DISCUSSION <br />CDS Building Official Jeremy Larson provided briefing on hiring <br />an additional Plans Examiner. The funding is already in the <br />budget for this position. CDS currently uses a third party to <br />review plans. The BoCC support this plan and directs staff to <br />hire for the positions and requested the number of commercial <br />permits we deal with on an annual basis. <br />LAND CAPACITY ANALYSIS - BUILDABLE LANDS INVENTORY DISCUSSION <br />CDS Planning Manager Jamey Ayling stated CDS would like to <br />proceed with negotiations with our consultants The Watershed <br />Company regarding developing a buildable land inventory for <br />Kittitas County. CDS Director Mark Cook provided information on <br />The BoCC directed staff to negotiate a task order with The <br />Watershed Company supporting the land capacity analysis and <br />create enabling documents for the board's consideration. <br />OTHER BUSINESS - No Action to be taken <br />2023-6-26 MINUTES 1 <br />
