KITTITAS COUNTY <br />Board of County Commissioners <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: April 18, 2023 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution establishing policy standards for <br />broadband infrastructure expansion under the authority of Kittitas <br />County <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: The county is preparing a Statement of Qualifications to identify <br />eligible candidates to participate in a broadband network expansion of <br />the Thorp and Edgemont areas under a Public Works Board grant <br />award. Future grant awards will also likely follow this same process. <br />As the county selects and awards candidates to execute the design, <br />build, and maintenance of this county-owned infrastructure, the <br />attached resolution outlines the policy standards under which Kittitas <br />County will base decision-making principles for the use of external <br />funding received for broadband infrastructure expansion. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: The Prosecuting Attorney’s office has reviewed and signed the <br />proposed Resolution.
