PROCTAIVIATION <br />'(National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week', <br />April 9-tS,ZOZT <br />WHEREAS: Emergencies can occur at any time that require police, fire, or emergency medical services; and, <br />WHEREAS: When an emergency occurs the prompt response of emergency personnel is critical to the protection ofIife and preservation of property; and <br />WHEREAS: The .tuf:ry of our emergency responders is dependent upon the quality of accuracy of information <br />obtained from citizens who telephone the Kittitas County l- t - t bispatch Center (KITTCOM ); and, <br />WHEREAS: Public Safety Telecommunicators are the first and most critical contact our citizens have with emergencyservices; and <br />WHEREAS: Public Safety Telecommunicators are the single vital link for our emergency responders by monitoringtheir activities by radio, providing them critic;l information, and ensuring tleir safety; anj <br />WHEREAS: Public Safety Communication officers of KITTCoM have contributed substantially to the apprehensionof criminals, suppression of fires and treatment of patients; and <br />WHEREAS: Each Communications Officer has exhibited compassion, understanding and professionalism during theperformance of their job; <br />Now, THBREFORE' BE IT RESOLVED: that the Kittitas County Board of Commissioners proclaim the week ofApril 9 through April 15, 2023, as "National Public Safety Telecommunicators', Week in Kittitas County,in the honor of the men and women whose diligence and professionalism who keep our County and itscitizens safe. <br />Dated this 4th day of April,Z0Z3. <br />THE KITTITAS COUNTY <br />BOARD <br />cory <br />Brett Vice-Chairman <br />ABSENT <br />L <br />L <br />Kj of the Board <br />Laura Osiadacz, Commi'ssioner
