BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COUNTY OF KITTITAS STATE OF <br />WASHINGTON <br />PROCLAMATION <br />PROCLAIMING THE WEEK OF APRIL 3 to 9, 2023 AS PUBLIC HEALTH WEEK <br />WHEREAS: The week of April 3 - 9, 2023 is National Public Health Week (NPHW), “Centering and Celebrating Cultures in Health” and <br />WHEREAS:The Kittitas County Public Health Department will support and recognize National Public Health Week 2023, and work to protect and promote the health and environment of the people <br />of Kittitas County; and WHEREAS:The American Public Health Association’s (APHA) 2023 NPHW is around “feeling like we belong, being apart of our communities and fostering cultural connections <br />supports our health and the quality of our lives”; andWHEREAS: The people in our communities can all contribute to the health of Kittitas County; andWHEREAS: The Kittitas County <br />Public Health Department invites everyone to join us in recognizing daily public health themes such as community, violence prevention, mental health, rural health, and accessibility <br />during National Public Health Week; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Kittitas County Board of County Commissioners do hereby proclaim the week of April 3-9, 2023as National Public Health Week, and urge all residents <br />to recognize its significance, and importance “celebrating cultures in health” in order to become a happier and healthierKittitas County. <br />SIGNED this ____day of________,2023. <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />________________________________ Chairman <br />________________________________ Vice-Chairman <br />________________________________Commissioner <br />Attest Clerk of the Board______________________________
