KITTITAS COUNTY <br />AIRPORT DEPARTMENT <br />January 3, 2023 AGENDA <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: January 3, 2023 CONSENT AGENDA <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: REQUEST APPROVAL OF NEW CONSULTANT FOR <br />BOWERS FIELD AIRPORT <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: We have a recommendation for a new consultant. In <br />October we created a committee to go through the bidding <br />consultants’ proposals and rank them. After the scoresheets <br />were submitted, it was a close call between all three <br />potential consultants. The next step was to conduct <br />interviews with all three of the consultants to see if any of <br />our answers changed. As of now, we have a consultant that <br />we are recommending to the board. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION: JUB has been selected by the airport to be the new <br />consultant for Bowers Field. This consulting firm has had <br />several successes in the Airport industry including <br />developing Deer Park Airport in Spokane. As the airport is <br />moving towards the development of both the airfield and <br />the business park, we need a consultant with experience, <br />that is why we have selected JUB. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: BoCC, JUB, Airport Staff <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: To approve JUB as the new consultant for the Airport <br /> <br />HANDLING: Return one original to the Airport. <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: Staff Report, Resolution, Professional Services Agreement <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: David Ohl <br />Airport Director
