Cory Wright <br />moved to approve the April 21, 2022 Board of Health meeting minutes as presented. Brett Wachsmith second. <br />All approved. Motion 05-01 carried to approve the April 21, 2022 Board of Health meeting minutes as presented. <br /> <br />Public Comment Opened at 10:01am <br />Public Comment Closed at 10:01am <br /> <br />Department updates <br />Health Officer Update <br />Dr. Mark Larson updated the board on the following topics: <br />• COVID-19 deaths in the United States <br />• COVID-19 R-effective number <br />• Mental health issues and data <br />• Local mental health recourse <br />Discussion on mental health issues in Kittitas County and what is effective in combating mental health issues in our <br />community, as well as the limited face to face interactions with mental health professionals that are availab le in <br />our community. <br />Candi Blackford stepped up to the podium and gave an over of 7 Seconds local non -profit organization that works <br />on youth mental health. <br /> <br />Draft Bylaws Presentation and Appointment of Administrative Officer Discussion <br />Tristen Lamb, Public Health Director, gave a review on the draft bylaws and appointment of Administrative Officer <br />in preparation for the June 2022 Board of Health meeting. <br />Discussion and clarifying questions regarding appointments and terms of Officers. <br /> <br />Request to set joint Board of County Commissioners/Board of Health public hearing to consider revision to Kittitas <br />County Code Chapter 2.10 Board of Health <br />Ms. Lamb presented on the necessity of updating Kittitas County Code Chapter 2.10 to reflect new changes <br />associated with the code, WACs and bylaws.
