KITTITAS COUNTY <br />SHERIFF'S OFFICE <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: Tuesday, June 21, 2022 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution Authorizing execution of <br />Interlocal Agreement between Kittitas County Sheriff's & Yakima County Sheriff's <br />Office <br />BACKGROUND: The purpose of this agreement is to provide Mutual Aid Law <br />Enforcement Assistance pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 10.93 RCW in the general <br />Naches, Little Naches and Cliffdell areas. This agreement also includes the general <br />Umptanum Creek Falls area. The Umptanum Creek Falls trailhead and approximately <br />.5 miles into the trail are within Yakima County boundary lines. The point from .5 miles <br />into the trail up to and including the Umptanum Creek waterfall are within Kittitas <br />County area. <br />INTERACTION: The Kittitas County Prosecuting Attorney's Office has reviewed and <br />approved. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Request to Approve a Resolution Authorizing execution of <br />Interlocal Agreement between Kittitas County Sheriff's & Yakima County Sheriff's <br />Office <br />HANDLING: Return originals to the Sheriff's Office for obtaining Yakima County <br />Sheriff's Office. Kittitas County Sheriff Office will provide fully executed to BOCC. <br />LEAD STAFF: Command Staff <br />
