06/07/2022 MINUTES 1 <br />COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />AUDITORIUM/WEBEX <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br /> <br />TUESDAY 2:00 P.M. JUNE 7, 2022 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Laura Osiadacz and Vice-Chairman <br />Cory Wright. Excused: Brett Wachsmith. <br /> <br />Others: Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; Mandy Buchholz, <br />Administrative Supervisor; Brian Carlson, Budget & Finance Director; <br />Neil Caulkins, Deputy Prosecutor; Josh Fredrickson, Engineer; Zack <br />DeHaven, Fiscal Analyst; Mark Cook, Public Works Director; and 2 <br />members of the public. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING STRANDE ROAD PUBLIC WORKS <br /> <br />At 2:00 p.m. CHAIRMAN OSIADACZ opened a Public Hearing continued <br />from May 3, 2022, to consider the vacation of County Right-of-Way <br />including a portion of Strande Road from Milepost 2.66 to the end of <br />the County Road. She noted the record was open. <br /> <br />JOSH FREDRICKSON, ENGINEER, provided a brief history of the request <br />and recommended continuing the Public Hearing until July 5, 2022, at <br />2:00 p.m. to allow time for additional work on an easement. JEFF <br />SLOTHOWER, ATTORNEY REPRESENTING THE APPLICANT, said they agreed <br />with the request to continue the Public Hearing to allow for more <br />time to meet with the Mellergaard’s and the Department of Natural <br />Resources to discuss an easement which will allow continued access <br />for the property owner. NEIL CAULKINS, DEPUTY PROSECUTOR, indicated <br />it was up to the Board if they wanted to take public comment at this <br />time or they could continue the Public Hearing to a later date and <br />allow for public testimony at that time. <br /> <br />VICE-CHAIRMAN WRIGHT moved to continue the Public Hearing until <br />Tuesday July 5, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. in the Commissioners Auditorium, <br />noting the record is to remain open. CHAIRMAN OSIADACZ seconded. <br />Motion carried 2-0. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING DECLARE EQUIPMENT SURPLUS AUDITOR <br /> <br />At 2:03 p.m. CHAIRMAN OSIADACZ opened a Public Hearing to consider <br />declaring equipment surplus to Kittitas County. <br /> <br />ZACK DeHAVEN, FISCAL ANALYST provided a list of extraneous items to <br />be removed from the Kittitas County inventory as surplus and <br />recommended approval of the proposed Resolution. <br /> <br />
