KITTITAS COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONER’S OFFICE <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: May 3, 2022 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Conduct a Public Hearing to Consider Amending Kittitas <br />County Code Chapter 2.04.010. <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: Early 2022 Staff received requests from Director Porterfield <br />(KVEC) and Director Carlson (CDS), wanting to eliminate a Study <br />Session or move a Study Session. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: On April 19, 2022 Staff requested the Board set a Public Hearing <br />to consider amending Kittitas County Code (KCC) 2.04.010. On <br />March 22, 2022, Staff submitted a Service Request with the <br />Prosecutor’s Office to draft an Ordinance making the following <br />changes: Event Center Study Session will be moved to the 4th <br />Monday of each month at 10:00 a.m. (was on the second <br />Wednesday of each month) and the removing one of the two CDS <br />Study Sessions from County Code so that there is only a CDS <br />Study Session on the 2nd Monday of each month & no longer on <br />the 4th Monday of each month at 1:30 p.m. noting there will not be <br />any room location changes for either update to the Code. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Adopt the proposed Ordinance as reviewed/approved by <br /> Deputy Prosecutor Chris Horner SR# 53881. <br /> <br />HANDLING: 1 - Clerk of the Board <br /> 1 – Service Request to (IT) to update KCC <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: Legal Notice/Email requests from KVEC & CDS <br /> Proposed Ordinance <br /> PA SR #53881 <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Mandy Buchholz, Administrative Supervisor <br /> <br /> <br />
