AGENDA DATE: <br />KITTITAS COUNTY <br />Board of County Commissioners <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />March 1, 2022 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Notice of Call for Sealed Bids for the <br />Kachess Lake Road Culvert Replacement, CRP 284-18. <br />BACKGROUND: The Kachess Lake Culvert Replacement will replace an <br />undersized culvert with a larger structure that meets current <br />design standards and realigns the existing drainage. This <br />replacement will greatly reduce annual maintenance costs, <br />better accommodate high flows and improve fish habitat. <br />The work is being completed with funding from REET 1 <br />and local road maintenance funding from Kittitas County <br />Public Works. The engineers estimated range for <br />construction is $1,000,000.00 to $1,200,000.00. <br />Call for bids are advertised in the Northern Kittitas County <br />Tribune, Daily Record and the Daily Journal of Commerce. <br />Bids are scheduled to be received by IPM Thursday, March <br />17, 2022, and will be opened at the Public Works office. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Move to approve a Notice of Call for Sealed Bids for the <br />Kachess Lake Road Culvert Replacement, CRP 284-18, <br />and direct staff to advertise as requested. <br />HANDLING: Return one (1) copy to Public Works. <br />ATTACHMENTS: Notice of Call for Sealed Bids. <br />LEAD STAFF: Mark Cook <br />Public Works Director <br />
