BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />b7.:qRESOLUTION NO. 2022 - <br />AUTHORIZING THE CHAIR'S SIGNATURE ON THE LOCAL AGENCY FEDERAL <br />AID PROJECT PROSPECTUS FOR THE BRIDGE RAIL IMPROVEMENTS PHASE 1, <br />cRP 314-21. <br />WHEREAS: Public Works has received federal safety funding for Bridge Rail Improvements <br />Phase 1 at various locations within Maintenance Districts A - F; and <br />WHEREAS: The federal funding will be used for the preliminary engineering phase to design, <br />develop and prepare construction plans and specifications for these <br />improvements; and <br />WHEREAS: In preparation to begin work in the Spring of 2022 Kittitas County Public Works <br />is requesting the Washington State Department of Transportation release the <br />federal funds for preliminary engineering; and <br />WHEREAS: A Local Agency Federal Aid Project Prospectus must be executed by the Chair <br />acknowledging the project has been reviewed and is consistent with the County's <br />comprehensive plan for community development; and <br />NOW' THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the best <br />interest ofthe public, does hereby approve the Chair's signature on the Local <br />Agency Federal Aid Project Prospectus for Bridge Rail Improvements Phase 1, <br />cRP 314-21. <br />DATED on this 1st day of February 2022, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />BOARD OF COLJNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />Chairman <br />- Julie Kjorsvik <br />Cory Wright, <br />( <br />,u{ou,Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br />Commissioner
