Ruby St., Suite 2, Ellensburg, WA 98926 <br />CDS@CO.KITTITAS.WA.US <br />Office (509) 962-7506 <br /> <br /> <br />“Building Partnerships – Building Communities” <br /> <br />BOCC AGENDA SESSION <br />STAFF REPORT <br /> <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: February 15, 2022 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request for County Commissioner’s signatures on the Public Benefit Rating <br />System Agreement between Kittitas County and Kittitas Conservation Trust <br />RE: PBRS Application (OS-21-00035). <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: Mitch Long, authorized agent for the Kittitas County Conservation Trust, <br />submitted an application for consideration of parcel 385135 under the Public <br />Benefit Ratings System tax designation on January 22, 2021. <br /> <br /> CDS staff presented this application to the Board on December 7, 2021. The <br />Board approved the application as presented. The Agreement was reviewed by <br />the Kittitas County Prosecutor’s Office through request number 53333. The <br />applicant signed the agreement on February 7, 2022. <br /> <br />In conformance with Kittitas County Code 3.46, Kittitas County Community <br />Development Staff requests signatures from the Board of County <br />Commissioners. Upon BOCC signatures the application will be forwarded to the <br />Assessor’s Office for final steps. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: Community Development Services, Kittitas Conservation Trust and the Board of <br />County Commissioners <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve, by signature, the Open Space Taxation Agreement between Kittitas <br />County and the Kittitas Conservation Trust referencing PBRS Application (OS- <br />21-00035). <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: Open Space Taxation Agreement <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Jeremy Johnston, CDS Planning Official <br />
