KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br /> <br />2022 AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: February 1, 2022 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Set a Public Hearing for March 1, 2022, at 2:00 <br />pm local time to consider a Sewer Franchise on county <br />owned property. <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: Jim Ritter desires utilizing a Public Works owned property <br />(utility track in Currier Creek Estates) allowing sanitary <br />sewer access to an adjoining parcel. The City of <br />Ellensburg is expressing no concerns, as City utilities are <br />within the County’s parcel. Public Works desires <br />supporting Mr. Ritter’s request to place a sewer line in the <br />County’s parcel allowing economic development of an <br />adjoining parcel. There is no adverse impact to Public <br />Works as the franchise agreement places all maintenance <br />and repair responsibility on the franchisee. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: Public Works. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Set a public hearing for March 1, 2022, at 2:00 PM local <br />time in the Commissioner’s Auditorium receiving public <br />testimony on a proposed sewer franchise across County <br />owned land. <br /> <br />HANDLING: Return one original to Public Works. <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: Notice of Public Hearing <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Mark R.
