KITTITAS COUNTY <br />SHERIFF’S OFFICE <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: January 4, 2022 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution Authorizing Execution of an <br />Interlocal Agreement Between the City of Roslyn, Washington and the County of <br />Kittitas, Washington for the Housing of Inmates. <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: This Interlocal Agreement is between the City of Roslyn and Kittitas <br />County for the Housing of Inmates from January 1, 2022-December 31, 2024 subject to <br />earlier termination as provided in the Agreement. The daily rate proposed is $69.83/day <br />in 2022, $73.32/day in 2023, and $76.99/day in 2024. The rate of compensation for any <br />inmate requiring additional or specialized conditions of incarceration to the extent that <br />they must be placed alone in a single cell designed for double occupancy shall be <br />$139.65/day in 2022, $146.63/day in 2023 and $161.67/day in 2024. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: The Kittitas County Prosecutor’s Office has reviewed and approved <br />this Interlocal Agreement. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Request to Approve a Resolution Authorizing Execution of an <br />Interlocal Agreement Between the City of Roslyn, Washington and the County of <br />Kittitas, Washington for the Housing of Inmates. <br /> <br />HANDLING: Please return one fully executed original to KCSO, which we will <br />provide to the City of Roslyn for its records. <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Superintendent Steve Panattoni
