KITTITAS COUNTY <br />AIRPORT DEPARTMENT <br />NOVEMBER 2, 2021 AGENDA <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: November 2, 2021 CONSENT AGENDA <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: REQUEST TO AWARD BIDS TO LEASE COUNTY <br />AGRICULTURAL PROPERTY LOCATED AT BOWERS FIELD AIRPORT. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: Bowers Field Airport has, for the past 30+ years, leased <br />unused lands surrounding the Airport for Agricultural use. <br />There are currently seven (7) tracts, approximately 800 <br />acres of agricultural airport property under lease. The <br />current lease terms are ending November 30, 2021. Tract <br />seven will no longer be leased due to wetland mitigation. <br />The Airport recently placed Tracts 1 through 6 out for bid <br />and have received several qualified bids and wishes to enter <br />into a lease with the winning bidders. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION: Request to hereby award the leasing of property at <br />the Kittitas County Airport for agricultural purposes to the <br />following bidder(s): <br />Tract 1: Approximately 38.69 Acres. <br />Awarded To: Seven Bar LLC, in the amount of $5090.00 <br />Per Year. <br />Tract 2: Approximately 270.7 Acres <br />Awarded To: Blazing Tree Cattle Co., in the amount of <br />$16,377.00 Per Year. <br />Tract 3: Approximately <br />Awarded To: Blazing Tree Cattle Co., in the amount of <br />$6,960.00 Per Year. <br />Tract 4: Approximately 70.70 Acres <br />Awarded To: Victor Strand, in the amount of$1507.00 Per <br />Year. <br />Tract 5&6: Approximately 342 Acres <br />Awarded To: Victor Strand, in the amount of $10,515.00 <br />Per Year. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: BoCC, Prosecutors Office (Service Request 52950 & <br /> 52958) <br /> <br />AAC RECOMMENDATION: Award bids as received.
