BACKGROUND: On October 15, 2019, Kittitas County executed a Professional Service Agreement (PSA) with The Watershed Company for Phase II of the periodic update to the county’s Critical Areas Ordinance (CAO). On March 16, 2021, the Board of County Commissioners approved Amendment No. 1 to the PSA to re-allocate sub-phase budgets. Staff is requesting approval of Amendment No. 2 to this PSA in order to complete the CAO update. This amendment would increase the overall contract amount by $5,000, and is necessary due to additional, unanticipated work assisting the Planning Commission with review, public hearing, and recommendation of the CAO. The overall contract value would be increased from $57,000 to $62,000. No budget amendment is necessary. INTERACTION: Board of Commissioners, Prosecutor’s Office, Auditor’s Office, and Community Development Services RECOMMENDATION: Approve proposed Amendment No. 2 to the Phase II Professional Services Agreement with The Watershed Company and authorize the Chair to sign the amendment.
