KITTITAS COUNTY <br />Board of County Commissioners <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: September 21, 2021 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) approve and sign the 2021 Lodging Tax Services Agreement LT-21-024-ROSLYN HERITAGE <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: The Consolidated Lodging Tax work group met on November 20, 2020, in an open public meeting to deliberate and reach their final funding recommendation which was forwarded <br />to each legislative body for final approval. The Group recommended allocating $219,244.99 of Lodging Tax funds for special events and projects. On July 23, 2021, the Consolidated group <br />met in open public meeting to re-consider funding events that did not get awarded during the November 2020 meeting due to there being un-utilized funds from other events canceling in <br />2021. This even had occurred on Memorial Day weekend of 2021 and gave a presentation to the Committee about the event. With the pot of money to redistribute, the Committee thought this <br />event had merit and voted to approve this event for a Lodging Tax contract.
