  <br />  <br />  <br />  <br />  <br />  <br />  <br />AGENDA DATE: <br />06/01/2021 <br />  <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Kittitas County Auditor <br />  <br />Agenda Staff Report <br />Request the Board of County Commissioners rescind Resolution 2021-085 and adopt a new revised <br />Resolution adopting the Sheriff’s rate for Cost per Deputy for the Budget year 2021. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> <br />On June 1, 2021, the Board of County Commissioners adopted Resolution 2021-085 adopting the 2021 Sheriff’s <br />rate for Cost per Deputy for the Budget year 2021. When the Budget & Finance Manager pulled the information <br />to create the resolution, the incurred tab in the Excel spreadsheet was used. The actual rates should be <br />Regular hours non-federal $79.00 Overtime hours non-federal $119.00 <br />Regular hours federal $66.00 Overtime hours federal $99.00 <br />The supporting document to the new Resolution has been corrected also. <br />The Kittitas County Sheriff currently bills outside agencies and other organizations for the cost of law <br />enforcement services. The Sheriff has developed a plan in accordance with the United States Office of <br />Management & Budget, 2 CFR Part 200, Uniform Administration Requirements, Cost Principles and Audit Requirements <br />for Federal Awards (Uniform Guidance), for the billing rate for the Cost of a Deputy, and; <br />The rate was established using the 2021 Budget (not actuals). The calculation is divided into two rates, non-federal and <br />federal. The calculated rates are: <br />Regular hours non-federal $75.00 $79.00 Overtime hours non-federal $112.00 $119.00 <br />Regular hours federal $61.00 $66.00 Overtime hours federal $92.00 $99.00 <br />  <br />The County Auditor has certified the Cost Allocation Plan at the above rates. <br /> <br />The last plan that was adopted was in 2017 with the rates of <br /> <br />Regular hours non-federal $63.00 Overtime hours non-federal $94.00 <br />Regular hours federal $54.00 Overtime hours federal $82.00 <br /> <br />This represents a 16% increase on the regular hours rate from the last adopted plan.
