Ruby St., Suite 2, Ellensburg, WA 98926 <br />CDS@CO.KITTITAS.WA.US <br />Office (509) 962-7506 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: May 18, 2021 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Requesting Approval of an Ordinance Adopting Amendments to the <br />Kittitas County Shoreline Master Program and KCC Title 17B. <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: RCW 90.58.080(4) requires Kittitas County to periodically review and, if <br />necessary, revise the County Shoreline Master Program (SMP) on or <br />before June 30, 2021 <br /> <br />The Board of County Commissioners held a virtual public hearing on May <br />4, 2021 to hear public testimony on the proposed SMP updates. <br /> <br />The Board voted 3-0 to approve the proposed amendments to the SMP and <br />KCC Title 17B. The Board directed staff to prepare the documents for <br />signature at the May 18, 2021 agenda session. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: Community Development Services, Prosecuting Attorney and Board of <br />County Commissioners. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve the ordinance regarding Kittitas County’s proposed Shoreline <br />update as shown in the attachments to the ordinance (Exhibits A, B, C, D, <br />and E) upon approval from the Washington State Department of Ecology. <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: Ordinance with Exhibits A-E <br /> <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Jeremy Johnston, Planning Official
