KITTITAS COUNTY <br />SHERIFF'S OFFICE <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: May 4, 2021 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Acknowledge a Letter of Award and Memos <br />Which Amend/Are to be Added to the Intergovernmental Agreement between WA State <br />Parks and Recreation Commission and Kittitas County Sheriff's Office for the 2021 <br />Grant Period. <br />BACKGROUND: The Kittitas County Sheriff's Office has received a Letter of Award <br />and additional memos from WA St Parks and Recreation Commission awarding grant <br />monies as follows: $10,049.18 to use according to the conditions outlined in the <br />Intergovernmental Agreement authorized by Resolution No. 2021-041 on March 16, <br />2021, plus an additional $5,000.00 based on a commitment of 80 hours of instructor <br />services. For instructor services less than 80 hours, a sum of $500 per day will be <br />awarded. <br />The required matching amount for this grant is $5,552.15, per State Parks. This <br />requirement will be accomplished with salaries and benefits for marine patrol deputies <br />working regular boating shifts. <br />INTERACTION: The Kittitas County Prosecuting Attorney's Office has reviewed and <br />approved the original Intergovernmental Agreement, and the new documents as well. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Request to Acknowledge a Letter of Award and Memos <br />Which Amend/Are to be Added to the Intergovernmental Agreement between WA State <br />Parks and Recreation Commission and Kittitas County Sheriff's Office for the 2021 <br />Grant Period. <br />HANDLING: No Handling <br />LEAD STAFF: Command Staff <br />
