2021-04-16 MINUTES 1 COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON WEBEX SPECIAL MEETING FRIDAY 10:00 A.M. APRIL 16, 2021 Board members present: Chairman, Brett Wachsmith; Vice-Chairman Laura Osiadacz & Commissioner Cory Wright. Others: Mandy Buchholz, Administrative Supervisor; Cody Cupp, HHW Supervisor; Mark Cook, Public Works Director; Chris Horner, Deputy Prosecutor; Savanna Myra, Fiscal Tech II; Mark Larson, Public Health Officer and two members of the public. SPECIAL MEETING SPECIAL EVENT APPLICATION COMMISSIONERS At 10:00 a.m. Chairman Wachsmith opened a Special Meeting to consider a Special Event Application from Eric Bone to host the Manastash Ridge Trail Run & Navigation Race on April 17, & April 18, 2021. Mandy Buchholz, Administrative Supervisor reviewed a Staff Report and outlined Department recommendations and contingent approval’s from County Departments. She stated that the recommendation would be for approval of the Penal Bond Waiver as requested and approval of the event as contingent upon recommendations from the Sheriff, Public Health/Environmental Health, Public Works, and the Treasurer. Commissioner Wright asked clarifying and follow up questions with regard to the contingent approval of the Departments in attendance. Kati, Event Director stated that they are no longer planning to do the Navigation Race on Sunday. She stated that they have fulfilled the requests made by all departments and is hopeful for a great Event. The Board expressed their support for the event and how excited they were to finally be hosting one with anticipated great weather.
