BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION <br />NO. 2o2o- .4 I 1 <br />RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE ASSET TRANSFER TO KITTITAS COUNTY <br />YOUTH SERVICES <br />WHEREAS, RCW 36.34.005 authorizes Counties to establish comprehensive procedures for the <br />management of County property; and <br />WHEREAS, Kittitas County Code Chapter 2.8I establishes the comprehensive procedures for <br />Kittitas County's property management; and <br />WHEREAS, Kittitas County Public Health Department (KcPHD)acquired assets, which are <br />attached hereto and hereby incorporated by this reference, through a grant from the <br />Health Care Authority (HCA) for the Community Prevention and Wellness <br />Initiative; and <br />WHEREAS, KCPHD is no longer a recipient of this HCA grant or responsible for directly <br />implementing the Community Prevention and Wellness Initiative, as it has been <br />transferred to Kittitas County Youth Services; and <br />WHEREAS, Kittitas County Code 2.81(15)(a) authorizes the Board of County Commissioners <br />to convey title to county personal property which is no longer needed for county <br />purposes, with or without further consideration, to a bona fide nonprofit <br />organization to be used to fuither a county recognized purpose; and <br />WHEREAS, Kittitas County Youth Services is a bona fide nonprofrt organization and the <br />successor organization in receipt of the HCA grant related to the Community <br />Prevention Wellness Initiative which serves a county purpose; and <br />WHEREAS, the Kittitas County Board of County Commissioners finds that is in the best <br />interests of the County and its people to transfer these specific assets to Kittitas <br />County Youth Services without fuither consideration for the purposes detailed <br />herein.
