BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION <br />No.2020- I 8 y <br />A RESOLUTION ALLOWING FOR PROVISION OF CHILD CARE AT LAZY F ON <br />AI\ EMERGENCY BASIS <br />WHEREAS: a state of emergency has been declared, nationally, statewide, and locally due to <br />the outbreak of the coronavirus; and <br />WHEREAS: childcare is a necessary component of both our emergency and economic <br />response to that emergency; and <br />WHEREAS, the Lazy F Ranch is set up to provide such childcare but is not zoned <br />appropriately for such activity; and <br />WHEREAS, RCW 38.52.070(2) gives the board of county commissioners certain broad powers <br />in times of emergency for "providing emergency assistance to the victims of such <br />disaster". <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that, pursuant to the emergency authority granted to <br />the county board of commissioners in RCW 38.52.070(2),theLazy F Ranch is hereby allowed to <br />provide child care on its premises during the duration of the current declaration of emergency <br />related to the coronavirus outbreak.
