OCTOBER 28, 2020 <br /> <br />Board members present via WebEx: Chairman, Brett Wachsmith; <br />Vice-Chairman Laura Osiadacz & Commissioner Cory Wright. <br /> <br />Others via WebEx: Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; Mandy <br />Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board II; Neil Caulkins, Chief <br />Civil Deputy Prosecutor; Lisa Young, HR Director; Stephanie <br />Hartung, Deputy Prosecutor; Mark Cook, Public Works Director; <br />Dan Carlson, CDS Director; Greg Zempel, Prosecutor; Mark Larson, <br />Public Health Official; Tristen Lamb, Public Health <br />Administrator. <br /> <br />SPECIAL MEETING DIRECTION/PUBLIC HEARINGS COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />At 10:03 a.m. Chairman Wachsmith opened a Special Meeting to <br />consider direction on how to maximize citizen involvement for <br />Public Hearings. He stated that he would turn the conversation <br />over to Commissioner Osiadacz as she asked for the meeting. <br /> <br />Commissioner Osiadacz reviewed options she had vetted through <br />the Prosecutor’s Office. She reviewed options such as a <br />dedicated phone line where voicemail can be left; additional <br />drop off spots in the County; and a dedicated email account. She <br />stated that this would be until the County is in Phase 4 and the <br />public can attend in person again. Commissioner Wright and <br />Chairman Wachsmith agreed to having a trial with a dedicated <br />host line, hot spots, and improve messaging on social media <br />etc., so that all the options are out there and identified. <br />Commissioner Osiadacz expressed her frustration for the Board <br />not being willing to do more. <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />At 10:32 a.m. Chairman Wachsmith announced the Board would <br />recess into Executive Session for 15 minutes with Neil Caulkins, <br />Chief Civil Deputy Prosecutor; Lisa Young, HR Director; <br />Stephanie Hartung, Deputy Prosecutor; Greg Zempel, Prosecutor; <br />Mark Larson, Public Health Official; Tristen Lamb, Public Health <br />Administrator to evaluate the qualifications of an applicant for <br />public employment or to review the performance of a public <br />employee.
