KITTITAS COUNTY <br />Board of County Commissioners <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: November 3, 2020 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request Boards signature on a Professional service agreement with <br />McKinstry for HVAC repairs at the Event Center. <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: Kittitas County Event Center Umptanum and Teanaway Halls have <br />been used for mass Isolation and Quarantine facility exercise this past <br />July. As part of the exercise it was found that the HVAC system was <br />not sufficient for the needs of a Isolation and Quarantine facility. <br /> <br /> After reviewing the two halls with McKinstry and the Counties <br />HVAC Specialist it was determined that HVAC system needed <br />updating with new outdoor units and cooling coils. <br /> <br /> I have discuss this project with both Darren Higashiyama, Chief <br />Deputy and Judy Pless and it was determined that this project would <br />qualify for CARES Act funding. <br /> <br /> <br />INTERACTION: Darren Higashiyama, Judy Pless, Kady Porterfield, Duty Prosecutor, <br />Solid Waste Director <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Recommend Boards signature on the Professional Service Agreement <br />with McKinstry. <br /> <br />HANDLING: Return Professional Service Agreement. <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: Professional service agreement <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Patti Johnson <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
