BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COI.]NTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTTONNO. 2o2o - l[,03 <br />ADOPTING THE PUBLIC WORKS OCTOBER 2O2O ORGANIZATIONAL CHART <br />AND POLICIES OF THE LEGISLATIVE AUTHORITY <br />WHEREAS: Washington State details the creation and functions of the County Road <br />Administration Board (CRAB) atRevised Code of Washington (RCW) Chapter <br />36.78; and <br />WHEREAS: CRAB is empowered to oversee actions of the County Road Engineer through the <br />issuance of "Standards of Good Practice" at RCW 36 78.020; and <br />WHEREAS: It is the duty of the County Engineer to organize the road department in <br />accordance with the policies of the county legislative authority as defined in <br />Washington State Administrative Code Chapter 136-50-051; and <br />WHEREAS: Said organization is required by CRAB satisfying in part requirements for <br />meeting "Standards of Good Practice"; and <br />WIIEREAS: Kittitas County Department of Public Works recently hired a full time County <br />Road Engineer and the Road Department is now updating County Road Engineer <br />duties associated with Public Works Department divisions and operations; <br />NOW' TIIEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the <br />best interest of the public, does hereby adopt the October 2020 Public Works Department <br />organizatronal chart and associated policies ofthe county legislative authority. <br />DATED this 20th day of October 2020, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />BOARD OF COLINTY SSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, <br />Chairman <br />of the Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />Vice-ChairmanI Deputy Clerk of the Mandy Buchholz <br />Attest: <br />Cory Wright, Commissioner
