05/08/2020 MINUTES 1 <br />COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON COMMISSIONERS AUDITORIUM SPECIAL MEETING FRIDAY 10:00 A.M. MAY 8, 2020 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Brett Wachsmith, Vice-Chairman Laura <br />Osiadacz (via WebEx), and Commissioner Cory Wright (via WebEx). <br /> <br />Others: Taylor Crouch, Deputy Clerk of the Board I; Doug Fessler, <br />Network Administrator (via WebEx); Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of <br />the Board (via WebEx); Chris Horner, DPA III (via WebEx); Todd <br />Davis, Noxious Weed Program Coordinator (via WebEx). <br /> SPECIAL MEETING PLANNING UPDATE/COVID-19 COMMISSIONERS <br />At 10:00 a.m. Chairman Wachsmith opened a Special Meeting for the <br />Board to provide planning updates relating to COVID-19. <br /> <br />Commissioner Wright updated the Board on Vantage State Park and his <br />talks with Grant County PUD on the opening of their boat launches. <br /> <br />Commissioner Wright updated the Board on the press releases <br />regarding the COVID-19 outbreak at Twin City Foods. The Board <br />recognized the quick and efficient efforts of Public Health and <br />their response capabilities. This outbreak placed the Variance <br />Application on hold. <br /> <br />Commissioner Wright updated the Board on the Prosecutors Association <br />Brief, the Powers of Local Governments. <br /> SPECIAL MEETING EXECUTIVE SESSION COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />At 10:12 a.m. Chairman Wachsmith announced the Board would recess <br />into Executive Session for 10 minutes with Chris Horner, DPA III; <br />and Todd Davis, Noxious Weed Program Coordinator to discuss with <br />legal counsel representing the agency matters relating to agency <br />enforcement actions, or to discuss with legal counsel representing <br />the agency litigation or potential litigation to which the agency, <br />the governing body, or a member acting in an official capacity is, <br />or is likely to become, a party, when public knowledge regarding the <br />discussion is likely to result in an adverse legal or financial <br />consequence to the agency. Potential action anticipated. <br /> <br />At 10:22 a.m. the Board reconvened out of Executive Session. There <br />was direction to Staff to follow the advice of the Prosecutor to not <br />appeal.
